The Effect of COVID-19 related Stress on College Life Adaptation: The Mediation Effects of Maladaptive Cognitive Emotion Regulation and Depression

Abstract
This study was to examine the mediating effects of, maladaptive cognitive emotional regulation (MCER) and depression on the relations between Covid-19 related stress and college life adaptation among college students. A total sample of 386 college students participated in the study, and the data were anlyzed using PROCESS MACRO model 6. The findings revealed that the effect of COVID-19 related stress on college life adaption were mediated through increased levels of MCER nad depression. Implciations of this study are discussed.
